FarmVille is a highly addictive farming game on Facebook. It is relatively simple to learn how to play but that said, there are many techniques and strategies that will have you earning millions of dollars and gaining special items.. But we can go into that later.

For now, I just want to give you a brief overview of the game and what is required to play it.

How to find and play FarmVille in Facebook:

Firstly you will need a Facebook login to play FarmVille. Facebook is a free social networking site which only requires an email address to get started. There are several ways to find FarmVille the game, you can click on the “Applications” menu on the bottom-left of the screen, and browse for the game that way. Another method is typing “FarmVille” in the search bar up the top right of the page.

Once you are in FarmVille you will soon discover that the aim of the popular farming game is to plant crops and harvest them for money. Doing so will increase your “Coins” and XP (Experience Points). As you find out more details of the game you will discover Levels, Ribbons, Gifts, all different fun little things.

So let’s break it down.

Planting Crops

Planting crops is the quickest way you can earn money in the game and one of the core elements of FarmVille. Planting crops involves these three steps, which must be followed in order for any particular crop.

1. Plowing: Plowing is the digging of the ground and preparing it for planting the seeds. (the farm is divided up into a grid with little squares which your farm is based on, each crop will take up one square or plot on the grid). Your farmer can only plow one plot of land at once. You may purchase a tractor when you gain $30,000 of coins which can plow multiple plots at once, this has it’s drawbacks as it actually requires fuel to run!

2. Planting: This stage requires planting the actual seeds. You can then wait while your little babies grow, each type of plant will take a different amount of time to grow. To see the full list of crop growing times, profit per seed, and profits per month, I highly recommend you take a look at the FarmVille spreadsheet

3. Harvesting: Harvesting is the act of using crop for its fruit/wheat etc. This is where you gain the coins and xp. Once you do this your crop will disappear from the plot and you may re-plant.

So this is the basis of how to play FarmVille, but there really is a lot more to it:

There is a large selection of different crops / trees that you can plant, some will require more experience to unlock, XP points can be gained a number of ways, from harvesting crops to working on a friends farm.

You can also expand your farm to allow for more crops and therefore can be a larger potential to gain more coins. Expanding the farm can be done a couple of ways. The common way is to gain enough coins and FarmVille neighbors to upgrade, or simply by buying the expansion with “Farm Cash”, which is real money that you can put into the game. I highly recommend you don’t use this options though, especially as there are some brilliant guides for under $27 which will explain how to get all the coins and xp you want using some secret strategies.

As you gain more coins and more experience you will level up, leveling up will give you access to more things such new crops, special items, etc. There are rumors about how many levels there are on FarmVille but there are 70. I know, I made it there:)

There are also ribbons that you can collect. Ribbons are awarded to you for all different things, from helping out a friendly neighbor to spending loads of cash for the “High Roller” ribbon. Ribbons are a way of showing off your accomplishments to friends and neighbors.

The main FarmVille strategy is to work EFFICIENTLY, not hard. This means harvesting crops on time, ie; if your crop has been ready to harvest for three hours then you have just lost 3 hours of coins! You mustn’t ever let your crops wither, this is not only a waste of time and money, you have also lost potential XP points. Things like expanding your farm, buying lots of seeds etc are all great things to have you earning coins at a rapid pace. Don’t forget to claim some extra XP from adding lots of neighbors too! This is also a great way to get some ideas of your own.

Of course, the best way to learn how to play FarmVille is to just jump in there and go for it!

Crop Mastery is a new concept built in to FarmVille, it is activated when you reach level 10 in the game.

Basically it allows you to become a master of any crop you plant/harvest, the point of doing so is to gain coins and experience (xp) points. Each crop has three levels of mastery (bronze, silver, gold) and you gain more coins and xp at each mastery level for each crop.

How do you get crop mastery for each crop?

You must harvest any particular crop a number of times, for example, you need to harvest 300 plots of grapes to earn bronze crop mastery for grapes, once this is achieved you will need to harvest another 300 plots of grapes to gain silver mastery. Each crop actually has different harvesting levels to gain crop mastery, you can view the complete FarmVille mastery chart here.

Do you really want to get FarmVille cash without paying for it? There are actually two ways to get FarmVille cash. One way is to play hard and earn your cash by learning techniques and secrets that will give you a lot of cash after doing some hard work. Or you can use the easy way and buy with your dollars. Just pull out your credit card and you can get whatever you want from FarmVille cash if you paid in real world currency.

If you are a millionaire and you just want to show off that you had tons of cash then you better use your credit card. But for the most of us who can not trade hard earned money for FarmVille cash, they must find free ways to earn a lot of virtual money for free.

Here we will discuss some ways to get some FarmVille cash without actually buying for it by your real money.

- Level up very fast: When you start to play the game the levels are easy to finish and you feel that you can fly through them but when you reach higher levels the tasks and work seems harder and time seems to be longer. You can get cash not only for taking surveys but you can also take any special offers like renting videos and buying certain stuff. If you are going to buy these things regardless if you played FarmVille or not, why not buy them and get some FarmVille cash from? This will give you an extra bang for your buck.

Some of you may of already seen the FarmVille toolbar, or maybe have already installed it yourself, but there are still many FarmVille players who simply haven’t bothered to install it, maybe because you don’t know what it is, or perhaps you can’t see the advantage of installing it. Well let me explain in 5 reason to why you should install it!

1) Installing the FarmVille toolbar gives you some extra FarmVille cash, which is always a good thing, no harm in receiving some free FarmVille cash is there?

2) Know when to harvest, easily, the FarmVille toolbar allows you to see how long your farm has left before you need to harvest it, in fact you’ll be able to know this constantly whenever you have your browser open, definitely a good reminder!

3) Get Free Bonuses, by installing the toolbar, FarmVille will happily give you bonuses, which include free coins, fuel etc, all you have to do is click a simple button within the FarmVille toolbar.

I’ve been playing FarmVille since Zynga introduced it to us in summer ’09 and I don’t think I’ve ever stopped playing it. It has been a rocky road though, I’ve felt like giving up a few times but I’ve stuck in there. Set some time aside when you know you can play FarmVille and run your farm around that. Don’t go over the allocated time you’ve set as you’ll find yourself getting bored and want to end the game.

FarmVille can be repetitive so do little chores such as plowing and seeding, then take a short break to chat to your friends online, make a coffee or catch up on e-mails.

Have a lot of neighbors? Helping your neighbors with their chores like fertilizing crops or feeding their chickens is thoughtful, but if you have a lot of neighbors it can take a large chunk of your time. Try helping only a few neighbors a day and concentrate on your own farm as going in and out of neighbors farms take time, FarmVille can be a bit slow at times.

Seems like FarmVille wants to publish everything you do and it takes time! Only post essential wall posts such as gifts or rewards that your neighbors can benefit from.

Keeping along the lines of posting to your wall, we all know how good it feels to brag to your neighbors when you get ribbons or when you reach the next level but trust me if you don’t want to loose your neighbors don’t brag all the time about what you’re up to. You will start to annoy your neighbors when all they see on the their wall is posts from you about FarmVille.

There is a lot of spam going around Facebook at the moment offering amazing FarmVille rewards like 250 FarmVille Cash or 2000 FarmVille. Be careful as these offers are not always as they seem. Check the wall post for the ear of corn logo and the FarmVille name underneath, if its there it’s from FarmVille otherwise it maybe a fake.

Trying to construct a building? Make use of your wish list in the gifts menu. If you don’t have enough items to complete your building rely on friends to supply them for you there’s no need to buy them unless you really have to. It may take you longer but you’ll need all your FarmVille cash in the later levels.

It doesn’t have to be hard to master FarmVille, by following the advice above you too could be levels ahead of your neighbors. You can also comment on FarmVille related threads or articles and say that you need FarmVille neighbors. Check your pages from time to time to find new neighbors. Do not spam the forums by putting bogus threads or senseless posts.

These were two ways to get more FarmVille neighbors without spamming. And I want to say a last word here. If you have many friends on Facebook who do not play FarmVille you can invite them to play and be your neighbors but do not overdo it because your friends will be annoyed if you kept flooding them with FarmVille invitations.

You can play FarmVille and talk about it with them and they might be interested in playing it and becoming your neighbors or you can show them a video for you while playing FarmVille, leveling up so fast and getting all these coins and ribbons.

There is no better way to attract people than triggering their curiosity and hidden desires. Everyone wants s a good game to pass his/her time and FarmVille is a good game to fulfill those needs.

Hello FarmVille fan! Since you’re reading this, I assume that you’re dead serious about improving your FarmVille skills and are looking to improve your performance. That is great, and I am sure that you’re on the right track by reading this article.

I’ve heard people say that FarmVille is a simple game to play, and my answer is ‘yes’, but only at the beginner level. However, if you want to join the ranks of the big boys and girls, then it’s not very simple at all. You will need all the insights, tips, tricks, techniques and secrets that you can muster in order to excel at the FarmVille game.

I have written down the following FarmVille secrets that you should start with. I have much more. If you like the following secrets, then I invite you to visit my FarmVille website by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.

FarmVille Secret Number 1: Identify and Get the Best FarmVille Crops

You can get, plant and harvest many crops in FarmVille. However, not every crop is the same. To get the best bang for your buck, you need to know which crops are the best and how to get them. To determine which crops are the best, you have to keep the following parameters:

1. The seed cost of the FarmVille crop (e.g. 85 coins for grapes vs 220 coins for asparagus)
2. The selling price (e.g. 381 coins for peas vs 173 coins for tomatoes)
3. The time it takes for the crop to be ready (from seeding time to harvest time, e.g. 1 hour for grapes, vs 16 hours for asparagus)
4. The XP per crop (e.g. 1 XP for tomatoes and sugar canes, 2 XP for asparagus and grapes, and 3 XP for peas)

After taking all these factors into consideration, we calculated that you get the most bang for your buck for crops in the following order (best to least profit):

1. Peas
2. Asparagus
3. Grapes
4. Sugar Cane
5. Tomatoes

Keep in mind that you may need to pay for plowing your crops, so your profit will go down for crops that grow faster such as grapes and peas, as compared to slower growing crops like asparagus.

Also, some crops cannot be grown until you reach at least Level 19 in FarmVille. Also, days are only twenty three hours long in FarmVille, so your day will not exactly correspond to the FarmVille day. You have to keep this in mind to judge exactly when you need to be online and when you can be able to plow new spaces to set up new plots.

FarmVille Secret Number 2: Identify and Get the Best FarmVille Trees

Trees take a long time between planting and harvest time, so you will not earn much by growing them. However, they have a particular advantage that smaller crops don’t have: they do not wither. Also, they do not need plowing, and do not need replanting.

Olive trees, date trees, banana trees and pomegranate trees can be acquired as a gift, while it costs 27 FarmVille cash to plant an Acai tree. The income varies, with 69 coins for date trees versus 158 coins for Acai trees. Also, it only takes 2 days to harvest acai berry versus 5 days for pomegranates.

FarmVille Secret Number 3: Hitting the Ground Running in FarmVille

A lot of players new to FarmVille find it very difficult to get started. They find FarmVille daunting because it takes money, time and a lot of concentration to get started in FarmVille. Using the following trick it should be easier to start so that you can start growing crops fast and move along faster in FarmVille.

The first thing you should ask yourself is how often do you log into the game, and for how long. These are completely different, and both of these aspects will help decide which crops you should grow and what techniques you should use.

When you start playing FarmVille, you are assigned 6 square plots, two that are half grown, and two with eggplants and strawberries. You are also given 200 coins. After you harvest the first crops, you will end up with 323 coins.

This trick will help you swap coins for XP so you’ll not have any leftover land, and will also help those who are at a high level but don’t have enough plots to work with.

1. Start with 10 or 11 plots of land that are either plowed or fallow. Whatever you do, make sure you start with this amount of land.
2. Calculate how much money you will need to plant whatever you want to harvest (see secrets one and two).
3. Plow all your 10 or 11 plots – You will need exactly 150 coins to plow the land.
4. Buy SOYBEANS to plant and plant them in all the 10 plots. You will need another 150 coins to plant the soybeans.
5. By just planting and plowing, you just earned 30 points.
6. After planting the soybeans, delete the plots with your delete tool.
7. Now you will be able to start all over again.
8. Repeat this all over again multiple times.
9. This allows you to get nearly unlimited XP for the cost of only 10 coins per XP while not doing anything on your farm.
10. After repeating this multiple times, plant something of actual value (see secrets one and two above), and shut down your computer

The next day, you can harvest this crop to get more coins and enough to continue using this XP trick.

If you’ve just started to play FarmVille or even if you’ve been playing for some time this guide how to play FarmVille should give you some good advice to get your game going or just to help you progress. How To Play FarmVille – Aim of The Game

The aim of FarmVille is to progress through the levels and manage a farm as a farmer would in real life. However, not everything on FarmVille is quite what it seams. In addition to planting and harvesting crops you will be given the opportunity to look after animals, hatch eggs, construct buildings and look after your neighbors crops. To progress levels you will need to earn experience points or FarmVille XP as its called in the game. XP can be earned by completing almost any task on your farm, so progressing to the next level is quite easy within the first few levels. As you progress levels the amount of FarmVille XP needed to level up increases and more tasks need to be completed to progress. As you learn how to play FarmVille the easier it will become to get XP and you’ll find out which tasks will earn you the most.

Whilst learning how to play FarmVille you’ll find different levels unlock new items for you to use e.g level seven enable’s you to buy rice while level nine will enable you to buy a wagon and a bike, and so on. As you progress you will then unlock more items to buy, which will make managing your farm easier. Items you can buy include tractors, Combine harvesters and seeders just to mention a few but beware these item also cost FarmVille cash and FarmVille money so watch what you spend your hard earned money on don’t leave yourself short.

How To Play FarmVille – Adding New Challenges

FarmVille seems to have an endless amount of levels but truth is Zynga are working on FarmVille constantly, which is good news for you the player. They are adding new challenges and items all the time. At time of writing this they introduced the bee hive which lets you the farmer build a hive with materials donated by your neighbors. It sure gets you hooked! With the aim to have a fully working hive with bees and a queen bee obtained by growing flowers. After you’ve completed your hive you’ll earn more money from your crops and be able to collect honey.

Share items with your neighbors and in turn they’ll share items with you. Need an item quickly send it out to your neighbors and if they return the favor they’ll send it back to you for your inventory.

As you progress, items in your inventory will mount up (a max of 200 items). Sell whatever you don’t need to earn more FarmVille coins, you’ll also get extra space to receive more items.

How To Play FarmVille – Forget About The Bells And Whistles

Concentrate on getting levels behind you for the moment and build up your FV coins and FV XP. When you’ve gained enough, you can then concentrate on the bells and whistles as I like to call it. I am of course, talking about the decorations and esthetics of your farm. If you buy none essential items to early you’ll fall at the first hurdle. If you do this you’ll end up doing one of two things, either get bored and give up FarmVille all together or panic and by FV cash and FV XP with real money. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Want to improve your farm or farm gameplay?

Are you tired of waiting hours to harvest, only to find that the money you make wasn’t good enough to get you through the next crop rotation? Are you planting the wrong crops?

Well, it turns out that there is a best crop to plant at each level. When you are starting out, you want to plant strawberries because that gives you the most money per hour at the cheapest price in the shortest time possible. Once you hit level 7+, use raspberries which is about 110% more money per hour than strawberries in half the time with the same experience gain rate via 2x plowing.

Don’t bother with the other crops because they take too long to plant, and in the days and weeks it takes to grow the other crops, you can get a lot more money from constantly growing and harvesting strawberries and raspberries. You can easily gain 20 levels in as little as 1 week following this strategy.

Now a friend of mine, Luke, has built upon this simple strategy. His tips now include:

1. Go from Level 1 (or any level) to maximum level in the shortest time frame.

2. Explains why most Farmville players organize their farm in the worst way possible.

3. How exactly to plant your crops, trees, vehicles, and housing structures for maximum output and looks. You do want your farm to look nice, yes? (I do too!)

4. If you are new or starting up another Farmville account, how to reach level 21 from 1 in 5 days or less. No cheating or hacking is used.

5. Learn the 5 minute secret to Farmville success. While people struggle for hours to make a few coins and experience points, you go on about your day, and then come back later to get your fun, xp, and a reduction in your stress.

6. Learn how to get Farmville neighbors without spamming. With facebook cracking down on fake pages and friend request abuse, this is a biggy.

7. Figure out how to double your coins overnight using 1 simple trick that elite FV players know (I didn’t even think of this one until Luke mentioned it).

8. Leverage your play and plant playstyle so that you gain experience, cash, coins, and fun without having to log in all the time to play. You do this by logging in as little as once every 2 days only.

9. Why everyone visits your farm while you collect the best items, vanity collection goods, and maintain bragging rights.

10. For those of you who enjoy raising animals, organize your farm to best raise them without the stress. Maximize your fun and beauty.

Now I should warn you that Luke’s tips aren’t for everyone. I broke down the pro’s and con’s of his playstyle (see list below).

His tips have the following pros:

1. Simple and easy to follow.

2. Contains 4 parts and 2 bonus sections.

3. Powerlevel your experience and farmville cash in hours and days, not weeks or months.

4. 100% legitimate, no hacking involved.

5. You will not be banned using these strategies.

7. Lots of pictures to help show what it is talking about.

8. Lots of charts and lists in an easy to read table format for quick comparison of best crops to grow during any situation.

9. Why people suck at Farmville and how you can beat everyone easily. (Harsh but the truth hurts for a reason. I really wished this wasn’t so!)

10. Easily organized and readable.

12. No matter what changes or gets added, get the latest decorations and vanity farm items (it’s so simple I’m kind of shocked nobody knows about it).

Now the cons of this guide are:

1. Doesn’t reveal any hacks.

2. Has 2 big guides instead of combining it all into 1.

3. The video on the homepage doesn’t work sometimes (I don’t know why).

4. Reveals why trees and animals are good money makers – this will make Zynga nerf them if everyone finds out (I make 10′s of thousands of farm coins from trees and animals).

5. Has an entire chapter on how to design a nice looking farm.

6. Doesn’t spam me with annoying emails after I register.

7. Luke’s tips are actually good and while most other people spew useless nonsense; What’s going on?
